Specifically, we focus on exotic pet care for rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, lizards, birds, backyard chickens, and more. We remove the guesswork and uncertainty around pet travel and required health certificates. If your senior pet could be more comfortable in their golden years we can build a comprehensive and holistic palliative care plan tailored to your pet and their unique environment. Dr. Sinai
Welcome to Riviera Mobile Vet, driven by Dr. Nancy Sinai’s wealth of experience, expertise, and genuine passion for all animals. With a diverse background in animal husbandry, a deep appreciation for the human-animal bond, unique and extensive experience in exotic pet care, and special training in end of life care, Dr. Sinai is your trusted partner in ensuring the well-being of your cherished companions.
Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Sinai worked in animal husbandry and alongside many trailblazing vets at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the California Academy of Sciences, The Marine Mammal Center, and for several shelter and rescue organizations in Northern California. If it involved taking care of animals, she was there! Eventually ready for more school, and thirsting for a deeper understanding of medicine, Dr. Sinai graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and began working in Berkeley, CA as a general practitioner and emergency veterinarian seeing all species.
Upon moving to Santa Barbara, Dr. Sinai continued her clinic work with many wonderful local veterinary clinics and added shelter medicine and surgery to her repertoire.
Driven by a belief in the powerful connection between humans and their animal companions, Dr. Sinai values slow medicine where we can meet animals and families in their home environment to best understand each other.
Justina, RVT
Justina, RVT, brings a depth of experience, calm confidence, and genuine compassion to every patient she cares for at Riviera Mobile Vet. She began her veterinary career working as a civilian veterinary technician on a U.S. Air Force base, where she supported the care of both working dogs and companion animals while developing strong technical skills in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
She later transitioned into general practice, building a well-rounded foundation in patient care, client communication, and preventive medicine. From there, Justina advanced into surgical nursing, refining her expertise in anesthesia monitoring, sterile technique, and perioperative care.
Today, Justina combines her diverse background with a gentle, attentive approach that helps pets feel at ease and clients feel confident. Her dedication to high-quality, personalized care makes her an invaluable part of the Riviera Mobile Vet team.

Maraka is the welcoming voice and steady hand behind reception at Riviera Mobile Vet. With a strong background in the equestrian world and a lifelong love of animals—especially cows and dogs—she brings warmth, understanding, and a deep appreciation for the human-animal bond to every client interaction.
Before joining our team, Maraka gained valuable experience as both a small animal assistant and veterinary receptionist, giving her a well-rounded perspective on patient care and clinic flow. Her organization, responsiveness, and genuine kindness help ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, allowing our medical team to stay focused on delivering the best possible care.
